PD charging line and ordinary charging line are mainly different in charging speed and current conversion after charging. Let's follow the editor of weisp to understand:
1. Charging speed:
PD charging line integrates quasi resonant current mode controller and power MOSFET, which has the characteristics of high performance, low standby power consumption and low cost. However, ordinary charging line generally adopts 5v2a charging specification and adopts constant current and constant voltage charging, so the charging speed is slow.

2. Current conversion after charging:
The chip on the PD charging line can control the charging process and automatically stop charging once it is full, making the whole charging process safe and efficient. The ordinary 5v2a charging line generally automatically changes to trickle charging state after the battery is fully charged.
For the PD charging line, the ultra-low standby power consumption and the best efficiency in the full voltage range are realized through the three mode hybrid modulation technology of qr-pwm, qr-pfm and burst mode and the low-power structure technology of special devices. At the same time, it provides comprehensive and excellent intelligent protection functions, including output overvoltage protection, periodic overcurrent protection, overload protection and soft start.
For ordinary charging lines, there are few peripheral components and relatively simple. The internal integration of 650V intelligent power MOSFET with high avalanche capability has the advantages of simple circuit design, easy implementation and low price.
